Two victims of full-body burns by Hiroshima atomic bomb soon escaped and floded at the first-aid station at Ninoshima island.

広島原子爆弾の爆心地から南約9kmの瀬戸内海の似島に、海外から帰還する陸軍の検疫所であった。被爆直後から似島臨時救護所が設置された。二人の被爆者は全身を重度の火傷に被爆して似島に護送された。その多くの被爆者は原爆症で死亡した。
